This is a mini mum frog, as far as I am aware they are currently the smallest know frog.

This little one is a Pinocchio frog. Can you guess where it gets it’s name??

This drawing is dedicated to my girlfriend who is currently training for a half marathon and is running on an injured ankle

After a little mistake with maybe not saving and my computer crashing I have now coloured this twice….. I think I was a little happier with where it was going the first time but what are you gonna do

Feeling a bit sick at the moment so I made this frog sick too.

This little guy is a Cuban Tree Frog. Trying out some different things with colour and different blending styles.

So a couple of weeks ago I posted a cover image I did for the graphic novel I’m working on. I wanted to go back to that drawing and try out a different style inspired by the sketches I’ve been doing lately.
I don’t think I will be changing the graphic novel to this style , I’m not a fan of the sketch lines and hatching but I do like some of the colouring, especially the shield and around the torso. I might use a a bit of a mixture of this and the original for my final colouring style.

So I recently discovered there is a frog called the Vampire Flying Frog (how did I not already know about this thing?!?) but I was greatly disappointed when I found out it gets it’s name from little fang looking things the tadpole has.
Anyway, this is how I originally pictured them in my head.

I’m quite enjoying these likeness studies at the moment and I think they are important for me right now to get back to working on my fundamentals, so you may see a few more drawings like this over the next week or so. I’ll still try to throw in a few fun ones though when I have a good idea.
For now, here is a poison dart frog.
